Most fruit takes a week or two from orchard to shop. Ours takes three to five days — picked, sorted, packed and out the same day it is ready. There is no cold-storage limbo and no ripening room.

Growers pick mangoes at the colour break — the moment the fruit has finished growing and begins to ripen on its own. Picked then, it will soften naturally and taste like itself.
